AMI and AIPM joining forces
Sydney, Australia— The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) which will see the Institutes jointly promote the practice of marketing and agile project management and the interrelationship nature between the two.
To address the need for today’s marketing experts to have strong project management skills to successfully deliver campaign objectives, AMI members now have the opportunity to learn best practice management principles through the delivery of joint training programs, webinars, event speakers and professional development masterclasses as part of the MOU.
AMI Chief Executive Officer Lee Tonitto said this agreement was a partnership that will deliver significant benefits for members of both organisations.
“Agile campaign management is one of the top professional development needs for our Marketers today.
Joining forces with the Australian Institute of Project Management will give members the opportunity to learn best practice project management principles and apply it to their marketing campaigns.
“AIPM was always appealing to the AMI because of their strong commitment to drive the profession of project management across all industry sectors. This characteristic provides a strong fit with our commitment to advance the marketing profession by providing cutting edge marketing theory and practice to members in order to fuel progress in their careers,” Ms Tonitto said.
The MOU will see the organisations share data, research and expertise all while promoting their respective mandates. Both organisations have the chance to participate in joint events and feature in each other’s publications and newsletters, along with profiles of each organisation on their respective websites.
The AIPM is recognised by Australian business, industry and government as the key promoter, developer and leader in project management with over 10,000 members. The AMI collaborates with senior and emerging marketers, across business, government and not-for-profit sectors to provide members with cutting edge marketing theory and practice to enhance the careers of marketers.
The MOU signing will see members of both institutes benefit from the collaboration, giving them the necessary knowledge and skills in project management and marketing to further advance their careers.
