AMI Annual Events

As the leading professional marketing association in Australia, the Australian Marketing Institute offers a platform to advance your thinking, develop your skills, fuel your development and fulfil your potential – so that you are equipped to take on the challenges of a changing marketplace.

The AMI holds a large range of events annually. These include networking events, CMO Lunches, National Awards Series, Emerging Marketers program, summits, seminars, prediction panels, as well as many training and professional development opportunities.

The AMI hold events across Australia in all states, however the majority of the activities are held in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. The AMI offer a 30% discount for all members on the ticketed price of anything that we run. We also offer a 40% discount on the non-member ticketed price is you are a CPM.

Training & Professional Development  

AMI offers a range of workshops to help you and your team develop their skills. AMI are invested in helping Marketers “Grow Brand You”. Our AMI manufactured workshops are instrumental in better understand the marketing sector.

If you want to learn more about marketing or seek to improve your marketing skills in specific areas, AMI training offers a large range of short & longer-term training courses with the flexibility of being on-line or in-class. This ensures you have the most relevant and up-to-date courses at your fingertips. Upon completion of all AMI Manufactured workshops you will receive a certificate of completion emailed to you. These workshops are held though out the year. You can participate in these workshops in a classroom setting, by virtual classroom or online study.

National Awards Series

The annual Australian Marketing Institute Awards for Marketing Excellence are presented to organisations and marketers who have achieved extraordinary success from innovative and effective marketing practices.

The Awards have evolved over the years in response to new developments in marketing theory and practice to reflect the growing appreciation of the critical role of marketing as the vital source of value creation for a business.

Our National Awards Gala alternates between Melbourne and Sydney. They are held on the third Wednesday in October where the AMI award over 32 trophies and recognise excellence in Marketing.

Emerging Marketers series

Emerging Marketers is a special interest group initiative designed to cater specifically for the needs of marketing students from tertiary institutions, recent marketing graduates and young marketers with less than five years of experience. The group provides opportunities to network and socialise with other marketing students, recent graduates or emerging marketers at dedicated functions.

The Emerging Marketers provide industry and career development events ranging from breakfasts to workshops and evening seminars. Get in early to find out about the marketing profession or maybe even an opportunity to meet potential employers. The series is made up of three key events: the launch, the mid-point, and the Graduation. These are structured from April until November.

CMO lunches

Forging new connections and establishing a wide professional network is important for future success. From CMO-level special events to mentoring programs for emerging marketers and state-based informal networking events, you’re invited to meet your peers.

Our CMO lunches are invitation only by our CEO. These lunches are held in each state at a fine dining location twice a year.

Prediction Panels

The Prediction Panels are events held in October to November across Australia. During these event industry leaders make comment on the five content pillars elected by AMI. In 2017 these were: Careers of Marketers, Technology, Media Advertising and Communications, Data Analytics & Customer Experience. They make comment on where marketing has come from and where they see it going in the next 10 years.
