Central Institute of Technology is looking for self-motivated and skilled professional with an interest in education and training to join the Institute’s Learning Portfolio for Engineering, Technology and Business as a Lecturer in Marketing at our Northbridge Campus. The position can be part-time or full-time.

The Marketing Lecturer prepares, delivers and evaluates educational programs for undergraduate students studying in the field of marketing in accordance with the relevant Industry Training Package. 

You will teach a range of subjects across this area of expertise. The role may also entail the development, preparation and delivery of employment-based training (EBT) through recognition of prior learning (RPL) and traineeships. The role encompasses the development and application of assessment tools and the delivery of training in accordance with Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards.

A large superannuation fund is seeking an Executive Director Marketing. The successful candidate, who will report to the CEO, will oversee the development and implementation of a marketing strategy appropriate to position the fund for continued growth in Australia while also capitalising on opportunites to develop its business in the US and Europe.

You will be responsible for development of the marketing strategy to guide all business growth and development. This will embrace working with key stakeholders (the CEO, Head of Distribution, Asset Class Heads), overseeing product, pricing, brand management, communications strategies and team management – the full gamut of marketing activities.

The ideal candidate will have pertinent tertiary and ideally postgraduate qualifications, a proven record in delivering on commercially meaningful marketing strategies in either institutional wealth management or the institutional investment/funds management arena. You will have at least 10 years of experience in varied marketing roles with a proven ability to develop strategies that have had a demonstrable impact on revenue and profitability.

The National Capital Attractions Association (NCAA) represents tourist attractions within Canberra and the surrounding region. With more than 45 organisations as members, our mission is to collaboratively promote the national capital’s attractions and provide a forum for information sharing, discussing issues and networking. We are active in lobbying for the sector with government and other bodies, as well as promoting the national attractions through events, promotion, and publications.

We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Officer. Their responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a marketing plan for the National Capital Passport to generate revenue.
  • Coordinating participation in tourism activities such as travel trade shows and ACT Tourism events. This may include attending the events.
  • Assisting in reviewing advertising opportunities, writing copy for advertisements, media releases and websites, including social media.
  • Representing the NCAA at marketing events within the tourism industry of Canberra and the region.
  • Providing marketing administration support to the executive committee.

The right candidate will be/have:

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Canberra and region tourism industry.
  • Experience in the marketing and communications field.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Can do attitude and proactive approach.

This is a contract opportunity for a period of 12 months, with a maximum fee of $20,000 (GST inclusive).  The contractor will report to the NCAA President and will receive guidance from the executive committee. It is expected the contractor will work approximately eight hours per week.
