Roger Powell FAMI CPM

AMI Victoria Council President and Victorian Director on the AMI National Board

Roger is Director of WhiteSpaces Management and Marketing Services, a business advisory and consultancy company specialising in strategic and business planning for the SME sector. He has worked as a professional marketer for more than 30 years in Australian and international corporations and has global experience in industrial marketing of plastics, chemicals and packaging. He has been a member of AMI for 20 years and been on the Victorian Council for four years. He is an Accredited Advisor for Family Business Australia and Institute for Independent Business. He holds degrees in Science and Business Administration from Swinburne University and has completed postgraduate studies at Monash Business School and Wharton USA.

Geoffrey Bowll AFAMI CPM

AMI Victoria Council Vice-President

Geoffrey is a marketer with more than 30 years’ experience.  He has worked with many of Australia’s blue chip companies including Australia Post, NAB, Telstra, and Ford across research and strategy, specialising in advertising effectiveness and brand positioning. He founded The Starship in 1991, a mid-sized, full-service, fully accredited advertising/design group working across digital and mainstream media in FMCG, finance, government, pharmaceutical and property. Geoffrey speaks at conferences regularly, has written the Guerilla Guide (recently renamed Alienate) in Marketing Magazine since 2002 and is a high-profile evangelist for the profession. He has a marketing degree from Monash University and has been a mentor for the past couple of years of five emerging marketers.

Yvonne Turner FAMI CPM

Yvonne is a management consultant and executive coach.  She has extensive senior management experience in the corporate sector and a strong strategic marketing, strategic planning and new business development background.  Yvonne worked initially in FMCG in NZ and with SPC Ltd and Cheesebrough Ponds International in Melbourne, and later in services with Solaris Power and Australia Post.  She is an independent director for the Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health. Yvonne has a BCA (Wellington), an MBA and Master of Marketing (Monash) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Bruce Croad FAMI CPM

Bruce is the CEO of the Melbourne-based strategic marketing practice The Strategy Warehouse Group, which has operated in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, USA and the UK for more than 20 years. He has a background in the full range of marketing disciplines with specialisms in strategic marketing and competitor analysis. His industry experience includes: energy services (Powercor and Pacificorp Inc), IT, communications and consumer goods (NEC, Sanyo and Eurovox), and automotive (Lucas Industries and Repco). He has a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Monash University, a Master of Marketing from Oregon State University, and a Graduate Diploma (Advanced Marketing Management) from Victoria University.

Michelle Brooks AFAMI CPM

Michelle is a Marketing Director for BlueFrog Marketing, a strategic marketing and implementation consultancy. Having lectured in consumer and marketing research in Australia and UK, Michelle combines academic insight with industry experience. With more than 15 years of experience in marketing, she has worked for a diverse range of clients including:  BlueScope Steel; Foster’s; Sensis; Surveyor Registration Board of Victoria; Australian Vinyls; Eye and Ear Hospital; Hocking Stuart; and Ausdoc. She has a Bachelor of Business (Management) from Monash University and an Associate Diploma in Business Studies from Swinburne University.

Anthea Cherednichenko AFAMI CPM

Anthea is a senior marketing professional with expertise in strategic marketing, brand development, and marketing planning and insights.  At present she is Brand Manager at Davey Water Products, and has also held positions across various industries including health, utilities and NFP, in national, APAC and international roles, having presented in China on launching new products to APAC markets.  She has a combined degree in Commerce (Accounting) and Arts from La Trobe University and an MBA from Victoria University.

Rowan Blyth AMAMI CPM

Rowan is a founding partner and Marketing Director for CPM Australia, responsible for new business acquisition and promotion of the CPM brand in the marketplace. He has more than 25 years of experience working in the marketing environment, including product management roles with FMCG companies such as Rosella, Lipton and Nabisco.  Through his advertising experience with DDB Needham, Rowan has worked with many of Australia’s blue chip companies including Telstra, Mattel, Samsung, and Intel.  Awards have included multiple AMI National Awards (2004, 2007, 2008, 2009) and ADMA qualifications. He has a Bachelor of Communication from the University of Melbourne.

Christine Walker AMAMI

Christine has worked in the market research industry for many years for companies such as Shell Australia, ACNielsen and Kimberley-Clark.  As Managing Director of Alliance Strategic Research, she is focused on providing insightful research to assist marketers in moving their products and brands forward. She is a highly skilled qualitative and quantitative researcher with a strong background in communications research including social media.  She is a member of AMSRS and a Qualified Practicing Market Researcher. Christine has a Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences from La Trobe University and a Masters in Applied Social Research from Monash University.

Anna Crameri AMAMI

Anna Crameri is the Marketing and CRM Manager for GHD, one of the world’s leading engineering, architecture and environmental consulting companies. She is a key authority on marketing for professional services and is passionate about the role of cultural change in achieving marketing outcomes. She has worked across Australia, the UK and Europe and has experience in implementing client relationship programs, project management and communications in a B2B environment. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Melbourne. She also completed her postgraduate diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in London.

Cassidy Poon is the National Marketing Manager for LogicalTech Group. He sits on the Victoria and Tasmania state board of the Franchise Council of Australia and is an associate member of the Australia and New Zealand Mental Health Association. He has worked in B2B and B2C start-ups through state and national expansion and has experience in digital, online and social marketing, budgeting, product development, advertising, tradeshows, sponsorships, PR and more.

Jennifer Trethewey FAMI CPM

Victoria State Event Manager

Jennifer has spent more than 20 years in senior management roles within the retail, marketing and tourism industries. She has successfully project managed major high-profile events including the $27m Myer Bondi store opening, the brand change from Grace Bros. to Myer, Melbourne Fashion Festival and the VRC Spring Racing Carnival on behalf of Myer.  In 2007 Jennifer established The JT Group, a team of innovative end-to-end marketing consultants working besides high-profile clients such as Miele Australasia, the Country Fire Authority, University of Melbourne, Australian Red Cross Blood Service and Annecto. A former president of International Special Events Society Melbourne, Jennifer is also on the Victorian Events Industry Council and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
