2012 AMI MARKETING SUMMIT

Show Me the Money: Marketing that outsmarts uncertainty

Thursday 31 May, Victoria Park Function Centre, Herston, Brisbane, Queensland

PDF registration is now available | Online registration is open

“The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous…[it is] to know and understand the customer so well that the product or service fits him and sells itself.” – Peter Drucker

As marketing professionals, we’re becoming tougher, more targeted and more pragmatic. It’s no surprise, given that proving results and justifying ROI (despite shrinking budgets and wavering consumer confidence) are at an all-time high. 'Show Me the Money' is about delivering bottom-line value in an age of uncertainty.

We all know about the dramatic changes in society and are rapidly adjusting our strategies to suit a very different era. According to the Australian Marketing Institute and Colmar Brunton's second Annual Senior Marketers Monitor, marketing professionals are placing more emphasis on short to medium term priorities such as maximising the efficiency of marketing expenditure and boosting measures to increase sales. While this is understandable, we have to manage the tension between short-term success and long-term sustainability.

The 2012 Marketing Summit will peel back the bumper sticker of ‘customer-oriented marketing’ to explore what it takes to influence business strategy. From targeting to product development to brand positioning to co-creation, we will delve into practical strategies designed to make marketing a core driver of revenue growth and progress, outsmarting uncertainty.

This one-day conference is designed to inspire and challenge you as a marketer and support you in gaining the most from your marketing performance.

Further information about the summit will be posted as it becomes available. Sponsorship or other enquiries can be made to Louise Marron at qld@ami.org.au or (07) 5593 9633.
