| 2010 Event Calendar Overview
Message from the WA President, Fred Meyer, Vice-President Ashley Whitworth and Treasurer, Holly Walton:
Dear AMI WA Members and Marketers of WA,
To say that 2009 was a challenging year is an understatement! If anything, it has given us time to pause and rethink marketing purpose, aims, objectives and methodologies.
More to the point, while we regret the postponement of our annual WA Marketing and Business Networking Congress in 2009, we are pleased to announce a refreshing and energy-infused events calendar for 2010 — with a different twist.
The spirit for this year is to provide a stimulus to the development of a new mindset and deliver content of relevance to the 2010 landscape of commercial thinking. Among the many topics, issues such as product relevance, transparency, accountability and social responsibility need serious consideration in both the B2B and B2C environment.
The role of marketing is ever increasing in prominence and, rather than basking in the fading glory of past success stories, we now need to get to work and focus on what the marketplace needs from us.
We need marketers, junior and senior, from enterprises, both large and small, to participate in our workshops and learning pods. We need experiences, information, knowledge, networks, contacts and content. In other words we need to engage you, your organisation, and your environment.
Have a look below at what is on offer. Please respond via email to wa@ami.org.au or post your comment on our Linkedin discussion page entitled 'The value of professional development and networking': http://www.linkedin.com/groupAnswers?viewQuestions=&gid=108419&forumID=3&sik=1265255130587
With many thanks in advance.
