EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: VIC

AMI VIC PRESENTS

BREAKFAST SEMINAR

EVENT NAME

The Five Brand Commandments

EVENT DATE

Wednesday 15 September 2010

IP theft (brands, trademarks and copyright) accounts for more than 36 per cent of global counterfeiting ...

Come and listen to a lawyer with an entertaining background tell you about the five brand commandments, WM's first rule of commercial law, how to stop intellectual property theft, how to stop 'brand rustlers' and the nine steps to IP protection and securing your brand.

Guest speaker William Mulholland (pictured) is an intellectual property and brand protection expert specialising in providing legal advice and services to SMEs in an area that is becoming one of the fastest-growing areas of dispute resolution and litigation.

As a commercial lawyer and seasoned presenter, William has put together a presentation not to be missed by any enterprise that develops, maintains or uses IP. In today’s world, that is just about every enterprise!

The digital age has resulted in many challenges as every enterprise seeks to protect its IP and ensure its brand investment is not jeopardised.

This engaging briefing will focus on:

  • IP theft in the digital age – the who, what, where and how.
  • Brand protection strategies – inside and outside plus the digital ‘dirty dozen’.
  • Registrable and non-registrable rights – trade marks, designs and copyright.
  • Terms and conditions and protecting confidential information, supplier lists and restraint provisions from ex-employees.
  • Special topics and recent case studies.
