| Emerging Marketers is a special interest group initiative designed to cater specifically for the needs of marketing students from tertiary institutions, recent marketing graduates and young marketers with less than five years of experience.
The group provides opportunities to network and socialise with other marketing students, recent graduates or emerging marketers at dedicated functions. The Emerging Marketers provide industry and career development events ranging from breakfasts to workshops and evening seminars. Get in early to find out about the marketing profession or maybe even an opportunity to meet potential employers.

Not4Pro's 2011 Launch Event, Wednesday 16 November 2011
Emerging Marketers Tasmania is providing the opportunity for second and third-year marketing students to put your marketing knowledge to the test with the Not4Pro’s program. Not4Pro’s connects university students with pro-bono work projects in the not-for-profit sector. Each project requires a maximum of 16 hours per a week and is completed within a four-week period between 28 November and 23 December.
By the end of the program you will have helped a worthy not-for-profit organisation and you will have also gained invaluable real-world marketing experience that you can use to differentiate yourself and kick-start your professional marketing career.
Key dates:
- Friday 11 November: Online registrations closes at www.ami.org.au
- Wednesday 16 November: Event launch, Catch Atrium, City Mills Building 6-7.30pm.
- 21-25 November: Organisations arrange meeting with students to discuss project requirements in more detail.
- Monday 28 November to Friday 23 December: Four-week project.

Not4Pro's: get involved
Emerging Marketers Tasmania recently launched a new program called Not4Pro's, which connects second and third-year Tasmanian marketing students with some of Australia's biggest not-for-profit brands for pro-bono work. The program provides a brilliant chance for marketing students to gain valuable hands-on experience, do something for a great cause and get a starting point for an outstanding career, plus the not-for-profits gain free marketing assistance, so everybody wins!
We have got some high-profile brands on board, including the MS Society, Cancer Council, Lifeline, Variety the Children's Charity and more, who have paired up with enthusiastic and motivated marketing students to work on exciting projects. To find out more, email tas@ami.org.au
