ADVANCED WORKSHOP OUTLINE

This is a practical, one-day advanced workshop designed to revisit the application of research techniques in marketing planning and evaluation. It will assist marketers in decision-making on research options and in the valid interpretation of research results.

In this advanced workshop, participants will review the status and impact of different levels of research information and how to interpret them, covering primary and secondary data and qualitative and quantitative research methods. Participants will consider hypothetical case studies and a research exercise to demonstrate advanced techniques in market research.

This workshop qualifies for eight hours of professional development under the Professional Maintenance Program of the AMI's Certified Practising Marketer Program.

Topics covered

The modules are:

  • Data, information, knowledge.
  • Revisiting primary and secondary data.
  • Qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Interpreting complex datasets.
  • Research techniques for planning – setting up the marketing plan.
  • Research techniques for evaluation.
  • Multivariate techniques for greater insight
