Roger Farley is the Strategic Communications Director for the Office of Road Safety in Western Australia. He is responsible for the delivery of the community education campaigns, the development and growth of the partnership programs, and for ongoing community engagement strategies to assist in achieving the ambitious targets of the State Road safety Strategy Towards Zero. Roger was responsible for leading and developing the massive community engagement and consultation phase when Western Australia were developing their new 12 year Road safety Strategy. This included 42 forums across the state over an 18 month period. He was responsible for ensuring that the consultation process covered all levels and parties of government, industry and community, and today he will outline the influence and power learned during that process, and the future role of consultation in Western Australia. |

Donna van Bueren joined TNS in 1999, having moved from the WA government where she developed the Freedom From Fear Campaign Against Domestic Violence. She uses her 15 years experience to provide strategic advice to state and Federal government departments develop and evaluate effective communication campaigns tackling health and addictive behaviours, parenting and community issues, criminal behaviours, road safety, education and travel behaviour. Recently Donna led a project to inform communications of the Government “One Punch” legislation which involved interviewing the families of victims of one punch deaths in WA. |
