Social Media in Government Communications

This workshop will give participants the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge of how social media can be applied in government campaigns. Ray Poynter will highlight the way phenomena such as Skype, Facebook, Twitter, social bookmarking, and file sharing are changing the rules of marketing. But what exactly are they and how can you use social media in your campaigns? Join Ray as he draws on both local case studies and his experience from overseas to make sure you’re across the social media spectrum. The session will include interactive sessions on Twitter, Blogging, best practice from the private sector and establishing online communities for government.

Workshop guest presenter: Iggy Pintado
Chief Executive Officer, ConnectGen
