I am pleased to present the program
for the Australian Marketing Institute
2009 Government Marketing and
Communications Conference. |
Topics include the latest on social networking and digital marketing and local and international trends in government communications. Other key themes covered at the conference will include social marketing, Australian responses to the Global Financial Crisis
and community engagement. We will also examine how government agencies responded
to the Victorian bushfires and how this experience can be applied to government
communications in other crises.
Don’t miss the pre-conference workshop on social networking. The workshop is being led by
one of the world’s leading experts on the use of social networking in marketing, Ray Poynter
from the The Future Place in the UK. In his session, Ray will highlight the way phenomena
such as Skype, Facebook, Twitter, social bookmarking, and file sharing are changing the
rules of marketing. For once, the paradigm really is changing, and the speed of change is
accelerating.
I look forward to meeting you at the conference in September.
Yours sincerely,

Roger James FAMI CPM
