WORKSHOP WED 8 AUGUST 2007
1:30 - 5:00 PM
WATER: THE COMMUNICATIONS IMPLICATIONS OF CURRENT WATER ISSUES AND STRATEGIES FOR CHANGE
This interactive workshop will bring together communication specialists from all tiers of government to share information and strategies for addressing the current issues related to water management across the nation.
This will be a facilitated session in which a panel of key communications and policy staff from across the country will present a snapshot of what's worked and what hasn't in their water campaigns. Panellists will bring relevant communication collateral and TVCs.
Workshop delegates will then be asked to join in the discussion to meet the following aims:
Establish greater dialogue between State, Local and Federal government
Share relevant information and resources with other states
Facilitate an ongoing network between different regions and levels of government
Facilitator:
Jeremy Lasek, Executive Director, Arts, Communications, Events & Protocol, ACT
Panelists:
Erica Chalker, Manager, Strategic Communications, Department of the Premier & Cabinet, SA
Kim Evans, Secretary, Department of Primary Industry & Water, TAS
David Hatt, Executive Director Policy, Department of Premier and Cabinet, WA
